Is it odd that I am so eager to part with such great amounts of money?
This is our journey from buying our dream block, to building a home for our beautiful family.

Week 10.5 - She's a bees preverbial away from lock up!
She is looking amazeballs! Love how it's all coming together. The Chippie has been busy getting her locked up. Any day we should be getting an invoice now.

Week 8 Round up........
Friday, 2 March 2012
We've been framed!
WOW - It is so good to see the outline of our house! We are so happy that we decided to build on pier and beam foundations on our sloping block. Instead of our house being a 'mushroom' it really does have a street presence.
Really happy with how everything is progressing - the builders and all their tradies have been so wonderful and welcoming. They even let Noah direct the crane the other day. He was so excited, he was telling everyone that would listen that he drove the 'Creaky Cranky'.

What a week!
The magnificent builders that are BH Developments have been very busy! In 7 days on site we have water, electricity, footings, plumbing, retaining walls and brick foundations have started. It is looking amazing! The guys were even nice enough to let Noah 'pretend drive' the little digger.
Apparently Noah now has a new career - when he grows up he wants to drive diggers. Suits me - everyone needs a tradie in the family!
To top it all off - this week was Lila's first birthday and we had a combined party for her 1st and Noah's 4th (on Friday).
If I do say so - I out did myself with the Princess and Pirate theme, the kids loved it!

Site Start!
I feel like a kid on Christmas.....I never thought I would feel that tingling excitement again as an adult, but I have to say I now do!
On Monday our wonderful builders started our much anticipated new home. I have never been so excited by a mound of dirt. So without further adieu here are our mounds of dirt: (Can't wait for them to become our home!)

Christmas round up.......
Gee I love Christmas......always have; but especially being a Mum of two little angels makes it even more special!
This year was Lila's first Christmas and must admit I didn't go all out like I did with Noah's first - but it was just as special in my heart.
This year we tried a handmade Christmas, right down to the gorgeous Gingerbread Train Noah made and decorated, Brown paper packages tied up with string and a real tree!. Here is our Christmas in pictures:
Here's hoping this is our last Christmas in our tiny tiny rental, and we get to celebrate the next one in our beautiful new home! I hope yours was as wonderful as mine! xx
