Plans submitted to the developer and a change of exterior colours...........

Finally things seems to be moving - albeit very slowly!

We held the builder up a bit by having a sudden change of heart about our external colours.

We have decided that we are in lurve with the Austral Zinc Brick! We have decided to use the Zinc Brick to our front facade and then the Boral Storm Brick to the remainder of the house:

To go with the darker brick we have changed our downpipes to Colorbond Woodland Grey:
Our Roof, Gutter and Fascia will remain Colorbond Shale Grey:
We will behaving two contrasting renders to the porch fascia and columns on the facade in Haymes Night Moves and Phantom:

We have also changed our Garage Door to Colorbond Caoba Dawn:

I love the new scheme! I was worried the old one was too brown (and I'm not a fan of brown!)

The new scheme and finalised plans have been submitted for the developer to approve.  Once this happens (hopefully quickly!) we can move onto working drawings and contracts.

Bring it on!!!!!

  1. Great choices! I'm a big fan of the blue/grey tone bricks (as you can probably tell from our house, haha). It will look great! Once your plans are approved, is your builder pretty much ready to start? How long do they think the build will take?

  2. Love your bricks - Are they Vic Blue? Not sure how long until the builder starts - I'm hoping by the end of September (but not getting my hopes up) They say it should take around 6 months. By the way - I was at Brand Junction today and was talking to the girl at Laura Ashley and she told me the old DFO managers are taking over! Apparently they are kicking out all the small retailers and bringing in all the big chains. Hopefully it's all good, cause it's a bit of a white elephant at the moment! x

  3. Oh that is GREAT news about Brand Junction! I've watched store after store close, there's hardly anything to see there at the moment. Glad that it's all with a purpose in mind.

Yep our bricks are Vic Blue. We drove around so much looking at sample bricks, it's such a big decision. Have the developers signed off your plans now? x
